Luna Margherita is my name.
I hold a Masters Degree in Applied Imagination in the Creative Industries from Central Saint Martins College of Arts & Design, London.
Since 2014 I have been Design Lead at Ripple, now known as the Lab of Misfits. One of our apps, Traces, has been awarded Best New App by Apple, and has been welcomed with praise by the media. In 2019 I have created animations for Beau Lotto and Cirque du Soleil TED talk in Vancouver.
One of my designs has been broadcasted in the iconic big screens in Times Squares, during a collaboration between our team and Viacom.

Book design
Together with my partner Ljudmila Sotchi, I have illustrated the book “Deviate” by Dr. Beau Lotto, published by Hachette.
For the artist Tanja Hollander, we have designed film titles and film animations (Are you really my friend, 2017. Quiet Film, Las Vegas). In 2017 we had the honour of supporting Tanja in the process of curating and designing her book “Are you really my friend”, published by MGM and MASS MoCA and presented at Art Basel Miami in December 2017 (get the book here).

I have been guest speaker at several conferences, events and workshops in Universities, festivals and conferences, where I have spoken about communication through visual design in the digital landscape, and was a lecturer at the University “Centro Sperimentale Design” (Italy) for the Academic Year 2012/2013.

I am focussed on the impact of technology on what it means to be human and how/if we are allowing technology to reshape us.
Such evolution is mostly evident in the projects AI Dreams and Deep Emoji.
A shadow of me exists on social media, but there is little activity since 2014, the year when I realised that for a happy life one needs to be in charge of their attention and focus. I became very critical towards the (ab)use of social media and although I recognise the potential and I am still fascinated by it, I decide everyday to turn my attention elsewhere.
Fringes of my work are becoming more experimental, but I am still very much involved in consulting for startups, individuals and more established companies.
